Welcome

Welcome and thank you for visiting Trinity’s website! It is our hope that this site helps you take your next step in your faith journey. I don’t have the ability to change your life, but I know Jesus does, and I would love to share Him with you, your family, and your friends.

Our desire is to see our community impacted with the good news of Jesus, and everything we do is to fulfill this vision. I invite you to take a moment to browse this site filled with information regarding our beliefs, vision, and ministries. If you’re looking for a perfect church, this isn’t it, but we do serve a perfect God and would love to pursue Him together, with you.

I welcome you to contact me or any member of the staff and hope to meet you soon at our Sunday service.

Jordan Hodges

What time does Sunday service start?

We gather together each Sunday at 10:45 am for our regular worship service. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for closures due to extreme weather.

The easiest way to enter the building is through the double doors at the top of the stairs on the front of the building.

How do I get there?

Trinity is located at 301 E Washington St, Pittsburg, KS. If you are coming from PSU, take Elm from campus and go about 9 blocks north. Or take Joplin Street and turn left on Washington Street.

At every door you will be met by our greeter team who is happy to give you a smile and directions. The easiest way to enter the building is through the double doors at the top of the stairs on the front of the building which faces Washington Street.

What about my kids?

We love having kids join us! Anytime we have services or programs at Trinity you will find a safe, clean, fun environment for children of all ages led by kind and trustworthy volunteers who have been trained and have passed background checks.

During our Sunday morning Bible study hour (9:30-10:30), all children will have an age-appropriate lesson, game, and snack. This is from birth to 5th grade. Our 6th-8th graders meet in a dedicated class just for them. This is led by two volunteers with years of experience in teaching — both at church and in the school system.

During the worship time (10:45-12:00), we offer childcare from birth to 4 years old. And hey, we can sneak in a 5 year old if you need a break!

What should I expect during the service?

During our services we worship God through singing His praises, sitting under the preaching of His Word, responding to the Word in prayer, and generously giving financially to our church and missions around the world.

Guests are encouraged to participate in all these areas of our worship service; however, we don’t expect or require our guests to give financially. The ministry of our church is supported by our members and those that worship with us on a regular basis.

Should I dress up?

You can, but you don’t have to. At Trinity you will find some people will dress up and others will wear shorts and a t-shirt. Whatever you wear will fit right in!

Are there people my age?

Yes! God has blessed Trinity with members of every age. People from all life stages call Trinity home. Whether you’re a college student or retired, parents or grandparents, single or married, there are others just like you.

What kind of music do you sing?

Each Sunday you might hear an old hymn or a modern song but whatever we sing we are committed to songs that are theologically accurate, beautiful to sing and hear, and glorifying to God!
