Trinity’s Gathering Information

(Latest Update: September 1, 2020)

We are meeting together in two identical services. The first service is at 9:00 AM and the second is at 11:00 AM. Again, both are identical in nature. We are continuously evaluating COVID-19 and working toward safely resuming all services, including morning Bible study, kids’ activities, and groups.

If you are sick or have been sick within the last 14 days, we encourage you to remain at home for the good of others. We are working hard to make the service available online.

If you are highly susceptible to illnesses and feel unsafe in public gatherings, please stay home.

What precautions can people take?

  1. Refrain from joining the congregation if you are sick. If you have a contagious illness, love your neighbor by staying home.
  2. BEFORE you arrive to the church facility, please use hand sanitizer.
  3. Please find your way into the sanctuary and limit interactions with others. (We know, this will be tough!)
All doors will be propped open for your convenience and for the safety of others.
  4. Your family may, of course, sit together snugly. However, please allow at least 3 seats (6 feet) from you and your pew neighbor. Some pews will be empty to allow 6 feet forwards and backwards between individuals.
  5. You may sanitize your hands at any time; use a towel to open restroom door after use.

How do I tithe?

Three methods of tithing will be available to you.

  1. You can tithe online here.
  2. You can mail your tithes and/or offerings to

Trinity Baptist Church
301 E Washington St.
Pittsburg, KS 66762.

  1. You can tithe on-campus during the worship service. We will not be passing an offering plate; secure lockboxes will be available and in an obvious location for our members.

What about groups?

While we are prayerfully considering ways to resume groups, we are only hosting Sunday morning services for now. Ideally, it will not be long before we are able to start hosting groups. Updates will be posted on this page and on our Facebook page.

What should we be doing as Christ-followers?

Will the office remain open?

Yes. The office will continue to remain open Monday through Thursday. Please limit your visits if you are sick, have been sick within 14 days, or have been in contact with someone sick.

You can also reach the office by email or phone; feel free to leave a voicemail during lunch hour and evenings.

Other helpful tips:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.  Use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a shirt’s sleeve or personal object other than your hand.
  • Disinfect surfaces and objects regularly.

All our plans are tentative; as humans, we do not know our future. Scripture tells us how we ought to look forward with our plans. We may make plans but always willingly and joyfully leave room for God’s will to supersede.

You ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
James 4:15
